Taste and Body’s Response

When we perceive flavors, different types of flavors trigger different sensations in the body. Spicy flavors produce heat in the body and cause it to radiate, while sour flavors stimulate the nervous system and cause the muscles of the body to clench. These basic reactions are memorized in your body, and when your mind and body are not satisfied, your body will naturally seek out the flavors it wants. Flavors are more than just volatile satisfactions that make you feel good; they relax the tension in your muscular system or trigger reactants in every nook and cranny of your nervous system.

Eat deliciously by focusing on food.

The important thing about eating food is that the various reactions in your body are busy reacting in an almost warlike manner. In this way, it keeps you alive, but it also keeps your sensory functions at peak activity and produces positive emotions. However, if you think about other things when you eat, your senses won’t respond as they should. When we think about things other than food, we don’t enjoy it. The same food can be delicious to some and unpalatable to others, depending on how we focus on its flavor. Taste activates the functions of the living senses and quickly transmits sensations throughout the body.

Flavors awaken the five senses
The habit of focusing on flavor when eating creates a foundation for staying true to what you’re learning in life. But eating deliciously isn’t just a mood-boosting mechanism. It awakens your senses, energizes your cells, and showers you with happiness hormones.
Just as it’s difficult to know yourself without knowing the world of sensations that occur in your body, flavors first transmit a feeling from your brain to your body, triggering a variety of sensory responses in your body. It’s hard to think of more sensations that we experience in our daily lives through our five senses.

Those who find gratitude in the small things will easily recognize the small satisfactions of taste, but it is the small sensory responses that eventually become the source of one’s thoughts, which together form one’s personality. Nature
The thoughts that normally come to mind are sometimes emotional, but most of the time they are created in response to the internal state of the body. That’s why when you eat food, happy thoughts spontaneously arise. In this way, the expression of flavors appears as an emotional response, but internally, it”s the result of various reactions in the organs and eventually the five senses that are transmitted to the body.

To enjoy visual flavors
If you summarize all the reactions in your life in terms of your body’s sensory understanding, it is the activity of the five senses. Visual activity, which is the most utilized of the five senses, plays an important role when eating food. However, some people get a lot of satisfaction from the same food, while others do not. It’s a matter of how you see it.

Our eyes are being trained and utilized in different ways when we eat. Looking at something is a basic way to see it properly, but when it comes to food, there’s a lot of focus and intentionality that goes into it, which increases the pleasure of seeing. Eating with all five senses is a training ground for the senses, but it’s also an experience that can pay off quickly. It takes time to slow down and relax in order to appreciate the subtle sensations that flavors convey, and it’s one of the best ways to increase gratitude.

More and more countries are recognizing the importance of taste. Food is the source of life, but we are losing our appreciation for it. Therefore, more and more countries are enacting laws to recognize the importance of food and promote happiness among their citizens. Japan started in 2006, but Korea started last year, and the United Kingdom has been organizing food education called cooking classes since 2008, and the United States is preparing to start this year.

I am grateful that countries are taking care of their people’s health by enacting laws about the meaning of food. The goal of all countries’ dietary laws is to help people appreciate food and enjoy the happiness it brings. This reminds us that food is not only about nutrition, but also about the appreciation of taste.
